What this extension does

Tab Numbers on Hold displays the position number of each browser tab in the tab title while you hold the Cmd (macOS) or Ctrl (Windows/Linux) key. The numbers disappear when you release the key.

Data collection

This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or browsing information. No analytics, no crash reports, no external network requests.

Permissions

The extension requests the tabs permission solely to read the list of open tabs in the current window (tab order and pinned status) in order to assign the correct number to each tab. This information is used in-memory only and is never stored or transmitted.

Third parties

This extension does not use any third-party services, APIs, or libraries.
